The Chalukyas were replaced by the Yadavas ruling from Deogir around 1162 AD.
This period saw the repeated incursions of the armies of the Delhi Sultanate of Allaudin Khilji into the Deccan, commanded by his General Malik Kafur. They subdued the territories of the south and extracted tribute from them.
